  • QLogic shows PCI Slots Express 2.0 functionality on Intel platform (Computer Technology Review)

    Sept 20 — QLogic Corp. announced Tuesday that it is demonstrating PCI Express 2.0 functionality (Slots) with its 8Gb (gigabit) Fibre Channel HBAs (host bus adapters) running on the Intel ‘Stoakley’ platform from Intel Corp. The Stoakley platform features PCI Express 2.0, a new bus for workstations and (Slots), and servers with the bandwidth to support high speed I/O (input/output) like 8Gb Fibre Channel, QLogic said.
